Cupping therapy is a therapeutic technique in which special cups are placed on specific areas of the body, creating a vacuum. This vacuum gently lifts the tissue and stimulates blood circulation, which helps relax the muscles and restore the body.
At Litkov Recovery Systems, we use both modern electric cupping machines with adjustable vacuum and infrared therapy, as well as classic vacuum cupping machines, which allow precise adjustment of pressure according to the specific area and the client's needs.
The therapy can be used alone or as a complement to restorative therapies and massages.
In my practice, I often combine cupping therapy with deep tissue massage (Deep Tissue Recovery).
Sometimes certain muscle tensions or fascial restrictions are not fully released by massage alone.
In these cases, cupping helps to release the tissue through vacuum decompression. While massage works by applying pressure to the tissues, cupping works on the opposite principle - it gently lifts the tissue, which improves local blood circulation and helps release deep muscle tensions.
The combination of massage and cupping therapy often gives better and longer-lasting results, especially for chronic muscle problems.
During the therapy, suction cups are placed on certain muscle areas, creating a vacuum and slightly lifting the tissue.
This stimulates local blood circulation and helps release tension in the muscles.
With electric suction cups, the vacuum can be adjusted through different programs, and infrared therapy further helps relax the muscles and improves the effect of the procedure.
After cupping therapy, temporary circles may appear on the skin.
This is a normal reaction of the body and indicates increased blood circulation in the treated area.
These marks usually disappear within a few days.
